POST-ORPHANAGE GRADUATES RECEIVE GIFTS FROM ANTARES RESOURCE CENTER


Thanks to the generous donation of shipping expenses by Paradise Empowers, Antares was able to send ten Christmas gift bags for the post-orphanage students coming in to use the Antares Resource Center (ARC) in Kazakhstan. Each gift bag contained a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, small journal, pens, gum, candy, chapstick, manicure kit, and more.

Antares is proud to announce the recent winners of our seventh Student of the Month Contest for the 2009-2010 Senior Class at the Regional Boarding School. The winners are: Olga K - September 2009, Kristina R - October 2009,

Vika K - November 2009 and Denis K - December 2009.

Antares started this program in 2004 as a way to encourage the students in their studies. Each month a winner is chosen by the Vice-Director based on their grades and attitude. Winners are given a variety of awards such as cash, mp3 players, flash drives and other items.

RBS Orphanage Request For Help

REGIONAL BOARDING SCHOOL – REQUEST FOR REPAIRS

The Director of the Regional Boarding School, Rizabek Kakpenov, has asked the Antares Foundation to help pay the labor for repairs and renovations being made to the RBS lobby and cooridor. They have to change the wooden decorative panels to something less flammable. Per the director, The Ministry of Education does not allow him to use the School’s money for building repairs.

The request was made for $2000.00 – we responded that we would ask for donations and give what we raised for the renovations.
