Valentine's Day Party for Family 9

This sweet girl is sponsored by Barbara and Ken Hines.

Barb and Ken sponsored a Valentine's Party for "Family 9"

"Family 9", their sponsored child's group,
is the youngest group of children at the RBS Orphanage.

A letter from the Hines family was translated and read.
It means so much to a child to know that someone cares!
Look at the smile on her face! :)

After watching a concert that "Family 1" performed,
Family 9 had a party with with fruits and juice.

They enjoyed it very much!

Thank you Barb and Ken Hines!
Happy Valentine's Day!

NEW CLASSES AT THE RESOURCE CENTER

Combined English and Life Skills classes started the first week of February. The first class was a success and we expect that the number of students will increase. Classes will be offered weekly at the Antares Resource Center, with plans to add more classes by spring.

The classes are beginner's English, with a focus on learning life skills such as manners and confidence. Our teacher, Ana, has a degree in child education and counseling. She is also an English major.

In March, the Peace Corps Volunteers will begin life skills classes starting with budgeting and finances.

Thank you Paradise Empowers for making this possible and giving these young adults a better future!

RBS-POLUDINO SIBLINGS REUNION UPDATE

These sweet siblings were finally reunited, after several months!
Due to extreme -30 and below weather, quarantines, and the holidays,
there has not been a Siblings Reunion since October. How they have missed
each other! How happy they are to be together...if only for a few hours!

Younger children from Poludino, the preschool orphanage, were brought to town
to the Regional Boarding School Orphanage, where their older siblings reside.
The siblings all ate lunch together, and then the older ones, took their younger
siblings to their "family" or group, where they enjoyed some time together.
All too soon, it was time for the younger children to bundle up, get in the van
and head back to Poludino. Hopefully it won't be as long until the next reunion!
